EROS
Eros is a retro-futuristic sneaker inspired by retro sprinting spikes. The fast silhouette and stance is directly influenced by hard-sole spikes and cycling shoes. The split outsole is separated between forefoot and heel, and is characterized by aggressive rubber teeth underneath the forefoot and a lateral wrap.
Countless logo and blocking trials were explored in search of an iconic and memorable combination. Ultimately, the recently updated EY logo was chosen to be on the lateral and medial quarter of the shoe. The logo was applied in a retro baseball cap inspired wooly felt patch with an embroidered border, although it switched to leather for production.
MOTHER II
Mother II is the sequel to the first Eytys shoe, the Mother. It replaces the classic vulcanized construction with a single mold wrapping over the toe of the last. The suede upper is very similar to the original with slight modifications to the lines and the addition of collar padding. The sole features an angular and chunky design that has become synonymous with Eytys footwear .
OASIS
Oasis is an elevated outdoor shoe defined by flowing lines, a unique closure system, and a bouncy convex sole. The tightening system features a single strap weaving through the asymmetrical suede shroud. The strap loops through a traditional pull-to-tighten/lift-to-loosen buckle. The upper is made from a collapsable ripstop nylon paired with velour lining.
ORTEGA II
Ortega II is a tasteful update to an Eytys classic. Retaining the original recipe of a chelsea boot with a minimalistic yet bold silhouette, a sharp squared off biker toe, set atop a thick crepe sole, the emphasis was on elevating rather than re-designing. The adjustments to the sole were giving it an hourglass and curved top-down shape, and adding height while making it lighter and more flexible. The shaft was lengthened, a leather pull tap was added, and the boot was energized with new materials.
