EINSTEIN
Collaboration between Moncler Genius and Jil Sander for the 2025 City of Genius Collection debuted during Shanghai Fashion Week alongside various other notable creatives. Codename: EINSTEIN
The footwear designed for the EINSTEIN collection is a chunky winter boot with a large rubber cap toe, a disconnected island heel, and a Vibram Arctic Grip outsole. It was inspired by the Moncler Nirmal climbing shoe and an existing Jil Sander Boot.
The "HOOD" concept was to create a removable double-upper shroud providing protection and warmth from the elements. The hood features a reinforced shell-like toe and heel, and is fastened with an elastic and leather strap passing underneath the arch. Various upper options were explored including a zip boot, chelsea, and knee high boot.
